If you haven't noticed, this has been basically pretty dead. Real dead, in fact -- even TODCRA itself seems to be basically dead... though perhaps at some point it might come back from the grave. Who knows.

HOWEVER -- I have a new site, which I encourage y'all to check out and register at and whatnot -- it's Kittysneezes.com, and it's a combination Online Zine/Band Site. So it's got some of my own music (more to come, once I work on the record some more) including a link to the complete TODCRA Discography online for download, and some reviews, articles, interviews and whatnot. It just launched this week (uh, Tuesday, IIRC), and the current schedule is at LEAST Tuesdays and Thursdays to have more content, but I might sneak more in depending, and once we get other contributors, who knows when THEY'LL contribute. Either way, though! So, hey! Go check it out! Sign up! Whatnot!

02 Episode 02 - The Talk Of Creatures

And this is the SECOND episode of the series, which is actually the first of what the series was intended to be. I actually talk a bit about this in a LJ post I wrote today about the abandonment of a project I'd had in the works for quite a while.

This started life as a Stream Of Consciousness novel I began and then abandoned when I got bored with it and decided that a Stream-Of-Consciousness novel was a really pretentious thing to write. I did kind of enjoy it, or at least parts of it, so I decided to do something with it later. About the same time, I'd just gotten into Chris Morris and his work, and I'd read a lot about his series Blue Jam, and decided to try to emulate it, or rather, what I'd READ about it, as I had never actually heard anything from it, and decided to go without hearing it until the series was finished. Basically, to see what I'd come up with and how it'd compare. (It ended up being drastically different; Blue Jam is a collection of sketches, where this is a solid monlogue. Also, Blue Jam was much more intentionally funny, where this ended up not really being, so, even though I ended up calling it a comedy show, just because.)

The other thing I like about this series is that while the episodes themselves don't have any story or plot to them, they all kind of add up to provide a overall arc. I thought that actually came together pretty neat.

So, here it is -- the second total episode and first real episode of the Untitled TODCRA Productions Project! Enjoy! And again, feel free to ask questions or whatnot.

Untitled TODCRA Productions Project Episode One - TODCRA Productions Radio Documentary

01 TODCRA Productions Radio Documentary

This is the first episode of the TODCRA Productions radio series, Untitled TODCRA Productions Project. This is actually completely and utterly and WHOLLY different than the other fourteen or thereabouts episodes because it was not recorded at the same time. In fact, it was never intended to BE an episode, it was only aired as an episode because I was really proud of this and wanted to get it heard. It was done for my audio production class in college, although after doing this version, my professor balked at the length (one half-hour exactly) and made me do a 10 minute cut. I compromised down to 13 or so, which still ended up taking basically all the good stuff out. So, uh, yeah. I think I've got that cut somewhere around here, but as far as I am concerned, it does not exist.

The full version isn't quite perfect either -- some jokes I'd cut today, but hey. I still like it quite a bit. This is also the only episode to have outside people on it. So, here's the credits list:

I get no profit from the CD (though I do from the DVD). So, if you can't wait the week to hear the next, completely different episode, get the CD, and wait a few weeks for them to make it and send it to you. Hooray!
