And this is the SECOND episode of the series, which is actually the first of what the series was intended to be. I actually talk a bit about this in a LJ post I wrote today about the abandonment of a project I'd had in the works for quite a while.
This started life as a Stream Of Consciousness novel I began and then abandoned when I got bored with it and decided that a Stream-Of-Consciousness novel was a really pretentious thing to write. I did kind of enjoy it, or at least parts of it, so I decided to do something with it later. About the same time, I'd just gotten into Chris Morris and his work, and I'd read a lot about his series Blue Jam, and decided to try to emulate it, or rather, what I'd READ about it, as I had never actually heard anything from it, and decided to go without hearing it until the series was finished. Basically, to see what I'd come up with and how it'd compare. (It ended up being drastically different; Blue Jam is a collection of sketches, where this is a solid monlogue. Also, Blue Jam was much more intentionally funny, where this ended up not really being, so, even though I ended up calling it a comedy show, just because.)
The other thing I like about this series is that while the episodes themselves don't have any story or plot to them, they all kind of add up to provide a overall arc. I thought that actually came together pretty neat.
